Friends of Bamford is a Community Group set up in 2017 by a group of volunteers to invigorate the Community Spirit in Bamford.

Our past events have included:

• Halloween themed fete (Halloween on the Green)

• Xmas Carols on the Green

• Lancashire Night

• The Magic Garden themed float at Norden Carnival

• Community Daffodil Planting

We are a proactive and dynamic community organisation and welcome your ongoing support at our upcoming events and beyond.

Bamford, Rochdale (Sat Nav: OL11 5QY)

Bamford is a beautiful place to live with the countryside on our doorstep, and Ashworth Valley not too far away. Bamford Green is central to many of Friends of Bamford’s community events.

​

Bamford Chapel is located at the heart of the community, and have initiatives such as the Community Coffee morning and Film Club. Up the road is Bamford Precinct which has the local chippy, Tesco Express, hairdressers, dentist, Italian, Indian and cocktail bar.

 

The community hosts an array of pubs including The Grapes, Hare & Hounds, Harvester and Bamford Bowling Club. Many of the pubs in Bamford and neighbouring communities are dog friendly too!

Not from the area? Come and visit – maybe take a walk through the countryside and stop off at one of our pubs for an afternoon pint.
